Historic home tour features the Market Street Loft
As one of the earliest settlements in Indiana, New Albany has a rich history that is exemplified by our Ohio River waterfront and the many beautiful historic homes and commercial buildings in the downtown area. In 2017, our loft was included the the annual tour of historic homes.
Writer Erin Walden noted a few of the loft's many historic touches:
Remnants from the former building remain in their home; clothing ads found in the loft space act is wallpaper in the bathroom, wood from ceiling beams was used to make a kitchen island and steps and a safe from the jewelry store was made into an entertainment stand.
